You do not need to have this figured out already. Most of the groups I work with are just getting started and want help taking the first real step. Schools I have worked with invite me back each year to teach the current 8th graders and high school students.
How it works
An engagement, step by step
Everything is custom to the client, but most school partnerships follow this shape.

Step 1
Faculty workshop
We begin with an initial two-hour workshop for faculty: comprehensive disability awareness training, a facilitated discussion, and a safe space for learning about inclusivity.

Step 2
Classroom instruction
I teach students directly, across two sessions of 1½ to 2 hours each — presentation and discussion together.

Annual partnership
Ideally we partner on an annual basis, so we can assess how your disability curriculum is actually landing and I can offer ongoing recommendations as it grows.

Format, travel, and fees
Format
I prefer to work in person — it is where this material lands best. I have also delivered a presentation as a hybrid of virtual and in person.
Travel
Based in Portland, Oregon, and available across the Portland metro area. I am glad to travel to the Bay Area. For other locations, ask — we will work it out together.
Fees
